host their annual spring game at Boone Pickens Stadium

Oklahoma State football is bound to have a different look on offense once the 2018 season arrives.

And there’s no bigger task for Mike Gundy’s coaching staff than replacing quarterback Mason Rudolph https://www.cowboysdaclub.com/emmett-cl … -c-56.html, who led the Cowboys to 10 wins each of the last three seasons as the team’s primary starter.

With Rudolph headed to the pros, along with Biletnikoff Award winning wide receiver James Washington, it’s the end of an era for Oklahoma State football — one that saw the Cowboys’ offense rise to becoming one of the most prolific units in college football.

Luckily for Gundy, his team has plenty of options when it comes to finding a replacement for the 2017 Johnny Unitas Award Winner — and hopefully keeping up the tempo established by Rudolph.

From dual threat  Xavier Woods Jersey freshman Spencer Sanders to Hawaii graduate transfer Dru Brown, the former who was named the Texas Gatorade Player of the Year in 2017, there’s no shortage of contenders in what is shaping up to be a compelling quarterback battle in Stillwater, Okla.

Sports Illustrated’s Chris Johnson named the competition as one of the most significant quarterback battles in all of college football this spring.

From Johnson
As indicated by Johnson https://www.cowboysdaclub.com/nate-thea … -c-58.html, Sanders’ high school statistics are nothing short of impressive , but Brown’s experience at the collegiate level is certainly a plus. He threw for a total of 2,785 yards and 18 touchdowns over the last two seasons with the Rainbow Warriors. But both will have some catching up to do with Cornelius and Wudtee, who spent time as backups to Rudolph, when it comes to learning the Oklahoma State offense.

The Cowboys will host their annual spring game at Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday, April 28. Oklahoma State begins the regular season with a home game vs. Missouri State on Sept. 1.

Until then, it should be  https://www.cowboysdaclub.com/jonathan- … -c-57.html an intriguing quarterback battle for fans to follow — one of several in the Big 12 Conference this offseason.
